Drink a Healthy Drink

Let me be clear, I am not a person who grows my own fruits and vegetables(ok, I do have a small garden), eats grains, low-fat, non-fat, gluten-free,  and all that stuff. I'm not a vegetarian, not a vegan, I love FOOD.  Having said that, I do recognize the importance of being healthy, and healthy eating. 

Instead of drinking soda, and or frozen juices, I tend to juice my own, my favourite being carrot, apple, and celery juice, with a touch of turmeric.

Recipe yields 1 glass:

  • 2 carrots
  • 1 apple
  • 2 celery stalks
  • Sprinkle of turmeric.

Method: combine in a juicer, pour and drink. The shavings of the vegetables, and apples can be used to make muffins.
