You Can't Go To Barbados And NOT Have Chefette

I first became aware of word Chefette when Teisha and I were guests on a local radio show in Toronto called Island Breeze, which is hosted by a fab Bajan female dj, Amanda L., back on April 21, 2017.

Fast forward to May 1 - 7, I'm on a business trip to Barbados and the day I'm due to depart, my righthand, Teisha who was unable to make it, asked me, "have you had Chefette yet?" Which I answered, "No, no I have not."  Now in my defense, we've been eating some really dynamic food already and I didn't feel it was right for me to eat fast food after the yummy foods I've had previously.  Anyhoo, T was not impressed and said, "ya can't go to Barbados and tell people you did not eat at Chefette J!"

Fine, ok, at the airport there is an enormous Chefette sign....soooo, there was a long line, which as I've been told is to be expected. Stood in line, waited, waited, as smiling faces passed me by with their purple and yellow boxes of snack boxes etc.  I'm excited, because my time is soon approaching.

I've been told that Chefette is more popular than KFC on the island, lol.  Man peeps love their fried chicken! LOL.  My Chefette experience has been ok...I expected to be sucker punched with taste, but it was a.ok.  I found it was too dry and under seasoned. Maybe another location will taste better?

So, Teisha, ya happy now, I've had Chefette! :)

Have you ever eaten at Chefette while in Barbados?  Do tell us about your Chefette experience :)
