Bajan Island Vibes

It's not called island vibes for nuthin'!

Get ready to immerse yourself in authentic Bajan culture. Visit the hustle and bustle of Bridgetown, the vibrant capital of Barbados as there is definitely something for everyone to enjoy! From retail therapy to tasting mouth-watering Bajan cuisine or even a relaxing stroll along the waterfront boardwalk.

Take in the sounds and sights of the city and capture some beautiful photos of Independence Square, Bridgetown’s markets and the careenage where many fishing boats, yachts and other sailing vessels are docked. Try out a Bajan snow cone and choose from various flavors or just quench your thirst with some refreshing coconut water all while mingling amongst some fun loving and friendly Bajan locals.

Pass through Pelican Village where you will have the opportunity to shop and get a real taste of local Bajan arts & crafts. Later on in the evening, hold on tight because Friday night you are in for an entertaining experience! Oistins Fish Fry, located in a local fishing village on the south coast, is visited by many tourists and locals alike. This is a MUST DO and a great place to spend an informal evening.  The food is the #1 attraction offering excellent fish, (tuna, swordfish, marlin, mahi-mahi, flying fish), lobster, chicken and more! You can get your fish grilled or fried depending on which vendor you choose from. It's all cooked on the spot right in front of you!

Once your belly is full, try your voice at some karaoke (Bajan’s love their karaoke!) or even social dance the night away or just enjoy the pleasant, sweet smelling sea breeze atmosphere right by the seaside.
