Your Opinion on Private Beaches

We reside in a vacation town.its a beach and ski town. Naturally, there is a mix of economic backgrounds and the most recognizable citizens are retirees. Having said that, many have the funds to purchase extraordinary land and build equally lavish homes, beachfront. 

Recently, we encountered one such property owner and apparently we were on his "private beach". Which we thought was complete bullsh!t. Why that thought? Well primarily because it is a PUBLIC BEACH, and just because you purchased a certain amount of land surely does not mean all that water and patch of sand is yours to police.​
