Mango Season is Sweet Season


The mango is one of my fave fruits. There are a variety of mangoes  ranging in size, shape, and colour. And while the skin colour varies, you can always count on the yellow fleshy center.  Have you ever smelled sweet, ripe, juicy juice running down the side of your hands mangoes? Oh goodness it's intoxicating!! 

Here are my personal favourite 3 mango snacks other than the fresh ripe mango. 

  1. Mango chow - RECIPE Trinis love chow and will turn any fruit into a chow. 
  2. Red mango - RECIPE 
  3. Curry mango - RECIPE

The recipes are simple with only a few ingredients and the headliner being, yes, the mango. You can find many sites with recipes, but Foodie Nation TT is one of my fave Trini Food sites, and the recipes are simple, and Chief-brand Curry is the ONLY curry powder I use! And no self-respecting Trini will say otherwise, lol. 

You can so make delicious smoothies and salads with mangoes, but the best way to enjoy a mango is....
