Paula's Pantry a Collingwood institution
Collingwood has many chic bistros, restaurants, cafes, and diners, to have a quicksnack, meal, and drink, but, after stopping off to take a closer look and get the 411 on Paula's Pantry, and speaking to a few of the patrons, who just happen to meet weekly to catch up about the grandkids, great grands, and their awesome retiree lifestyle, I have discovered that P.P. is the true Collingwood institution.
Located off of Hurontario and Eighth Street, P.P. is the white building. Upon entry it has a distinct scent, and somewhat dated decor, but still very unique to its traditions and, I'm guessing, past.
The dining room is the length of the building, it's clean and staff are warm and welcoming. They have yummy homemade breads such is an Apple bread, I was told it's great to make French t9ast, and also a cherry bread. Mmm mmm!!
I must return and taste one of their sandwiches. All-in-all, you quaint shop to enjoy a quiet moment over tea/coffee and a yummy treat.
